The honest answer

Chatsettu does not reply automatically inside the WhatsApp app itself. What it gives you instead is a share link and a QR code — you can put these in your WhatsApp Business "About" section, your status, your Instagram bio, or print the QR code at your counter. A customer taps or scans it and starts chatting with your AI employee on its own page.

Why we didn't build in-app WhatsApp automation

Getting an AI to reply automatically inside WhatsApp requires WhatsApp's official Business API, which is a genuinely heavier setup — it typically moves a business off the regular WhatsApp app they already know, involves an approval process, and comes with its own ongoing cost per conversation.

On top of that, Meta (WhatsApp's parent company) has been tightening its own policy on third-party AI chatbots inside the Business API, and is building its own native AI agent for WhatsApp businesses that competes directly in this exact space. Building deeply into a channel a platform owner is actively narrowing didn't make sense as a foundation for a small business tool.

What this means practically

You keep using WhatsApp exactly as you do today — no new app, no approval process, no per-conversation cost. Chatsettu just becomes the destination your customers land on when they tap the link you've already put somewhere they'll see it.
